On December 5th the tutors and staff at Totally Sound performed together at South Bridge Resource Centre to raise funds for the project. For the second year running they had been asked to play at the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Christmas Party and donated their fee towards the projects Christmas fundraising efforts. This was further boosted by the very generous donation from the ESOL programme of £250 which was raised by their tombola on the evening.
The tutors played a set of classic funk rock disco punk for the international party goers and the night was great fun. There were several standout performances, with most of the tutors (even the drummers!) taking a turn at singing a song. The band for the evening comprised…
Erin Todd – Vocals
Gina Muego Vocals
Stephen Tierney – Guitar/ Vocals
Adam Sutherland – Guitar
Will Oke – Bass/ Vocals
Garry Hall – Keyboards/ Whistles/ Vocals
Mikey Cameron – Drums/ Percussion/ Vocals
Steve Rhind – Drums/ Percussion/ Guitar/ Vocals
The money raised on the night was quickly put to good use and some of it has already been spent! We’re delighted to be able to add a brand new all valve Marshall Stack amplifier to our equipment list. This is a fantastic piece of equipment and will be a welcome addition to our live room set up in 2015. If you’re interested in finding out more about the gear itself then you can do so here.
